JUST ADD WATER

"She felt like heaven had touched her soul"

A cheesy thought, but it was the truth.

Heaven - the edgy version - 2.0 - redub - new, improved, updated and with thirty three point three recurring percent absolutely free!

"We'll make you feel something you've never felt before. Later, you will interpret this as frustration (but that's in the small print anyway)"

The trip is right now, right here and you won't care about the price of tomorrow because it's all sanctimonious bullshit anyway.

She bought it on a daily basis - in bulk, with a VAT receipt. What future is there when the past is all that's left of today?

Instant gratification, just add water (and maybe an egg if you're extra needy) It's magic, an apparition, it's all there, just walk outside and see. Your castle is waiting for you to ride. The village below is a fake; plastic houses; trees; pubs; churches and you can purchase your feelings to match at any of the local shops.

It has no soul and it is crass but it is right now, in this moment and it is what you need:

It's the sugar hit you've craved since yesterday and that you'll beg for tomorrow as you curse your denial (if you have the energy left)

It's the blood on a brand new shirt in dreams of drowning under lime-green oceans with cow print accessories

It's the Nietzsche quotes that are bounced around like a bat with a ball on elastic

It's the way you answer the phone when working in a satirical Centre of Excellence that tries, desperately, to live up to its name

It's ignoring the tell-tale greyness under cue-ball eyes that beg for salvation

It's pre-packed
Pure - distilled
Hit-of-a-lifetime
Ready-to-eat

and it's shit

And with the crash (and a pile of useless receipts) comes the realisation that you've reached so far inside yourself that your heart has been pulled (with not much surgical precision) cleanly from your chest.
